Mephistopholes Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 In addition to what Tommy said (it is Tommy, right?) having grippers that are rated and vary in strength allow you to know where you stand. So the average #3 is 150? Then if you plan on doing a cert, you want to be able reliably close something that rates higher, perhaps a hard #3 that rates at 160.
