Metacarpal
Anybody out there have any technique tips for plate curls? Do you guys keep your fingers completely straight or do you have a slight blend (flex) in the fingers? The reason I ask is I've been making a lot of progress in the past couple months closing grippers with a MMS set. However, I would like to become just of proficient with a CCS set. I figure if I add exercises that emphasize the open hand (plate curls, 3" fat bar, IMTUG for index and trigger finger, etc.) my fingers will get stronger at closes from further out. Any input here would be appreciated too! Thanks.
indiladhar
I've only just started this recently but you could get a choker on a gripper set to parallel (or wherever you can get a few closed reps) and loosen it each workout so your hands open a slightly wider gripper setting each time- until you're able to reach said goal. Eric Roussin
When I do plate curls, I keep my fingers straight and spread them. It makes it easier for me to do the lift in a strict fashion (without the wrist bending back).
