bubba29
I was thinking after nationals that is unfortunate more people cannot make the trip for a big competition like that. Though it is very understandable. There are pockets of grip enthusiasts around the country driven by some of the top people in the game. Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, and maybe even South Carolina have decent groups of guys pursuing this unique strength. There are also groups overseas doing the same thing. I thought why not have a virtual team competition with many weight classes represented. We could have formal competitions at different locations on different weekends using the same equipment with certified weights from each gym. We could send calibrated grippers starting with a CoC #2, a RT handle + loading pin, and maybe a pinch block + loading pin. That equipment will be the only equipment allowed to be used in this competition and it will be shipped from one location to the next. 3 events with results sent to a single "judge" for compilation. Results can only be revealed after all locations complete their competitions. This is obviously just a simple idea thought of in quick manner. I certainly would be open to improving on the concept. In the end, I think it is very doable and would be extremely interesting.
Cannon
aka David Horne's Worlds Strongest Hands series! I wish there were more of these coordinated comps too.

Chez
aka David Horne's Worlds Strongest Hands series! I wish there were more of these coordinated comps too. what is the format of that? hey Chuck. I'm actually competing in world's strongest hands this year. The events change year to year. Here is a link to the thread where David Horne describes this years events. It takes place in mid August. I'm going to compete in PA at Jedd's. That is probably the closest location for you as well. http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtopic=38813
Mikael Siversson
I think a National Championship has to be attended in person by the competitors if we are ever to gain wider recognition as participating in a legitimate sport. The WSH hands competitions, apart from the name being a bit of a misnomer, seem to work well though. A similar concept could of course be developed for the US and elsewhere. As long as each local competition has at least a few competitiors, a (often competing) judge and adheres to all the standard rules in place records can be recognised if set.
