python
I am interested in buying some kind of equipment to do my farmers walk with. I now do them with dumbells but they tend to hit my thighs when I can't hold them far enough away. I am no great lifter and do this only for my own development and enjoyment so no need for anything to expensive. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Rick Browne
Do you get Milo Strength Journal from Ironmind? (if not why not? ) If you do, and have the December 2001 issue, there is an article by JV Askem that details how to make farmers implements very cheap, using materials from your local hardware store. Mjoynt
I purchased two super curl bars. They are excellent for the farmer's walk for a very reasonable price. www.jesupgym.com

dyoder16
Unless your really a monster a pair of triceps bars work really well. They give plenty of stride length for an average person, you can load plenty of weight on them and you can find them relatively cheap if you look around. Also if you have a trap bar they seem to work reasonably well, especially if you not up into monster weights.
Rick Walker
I have the PDA Farmers shown in Wannagrip's link. They are awesome-and the best part is I can remove the handles to do thick bar stuff as well. Want to work your hands, forearms, AND your body? Get the PDA Farmers and do some 100 yard walks with the bars-no handles! Worth the $$- Rick Walker
