Matt Brouse Posted April 15, 2012 Share Posted April 15, 2012 I'm 3 or R months back focused on grip training and finding new events and new standards as far what's good on old one... where do we stand with the 3 inch dumbbell deadlift? ...or clean for that matter? I haven't seen it in many contests save for maybe a medley or two, but... After a try or two, I've pretty readily launched 144, with near misses at 149 and, today at 151... not sure how that stacks up. Thank for feedback, gents. iamsean11 Posted April 15, 2012 Share Posted April 15, 2012 I pulled just over 80# on my ghetto PVC 4" pipe. I have yet to try a 3". Did you make your 3" DB or buy it? I was messing around with it and seeing how much I could pull with my fingers and thumb pointing straight down and I hit 40# after several weeks trying it. 144 is HUGE on a 3" handle.
