A 68 year old pastor in the audience rip'd 5 phone-books in half in less than 30 seconds. But he cheated when he did it :(

I just saw that too. I thought it was pretty impressive. It's nice that something like that was on national TV.

When you grab the book & bend it away from you with both hands & then push both hands together a little & then bend it back towards you it seperates the pages & makes it easier to rip. I hope this makes sense.

I also saw him rip those books. The books looked to be about 1.25". He tore through those fairly quickly.

Gripper32001, am I cheating when I bend the books to create a crease to rip across? Please look at my wesite below and tell me if I'm cheating. You said in another thread that Jeff Neil and his ministry team cheat when ripping phone books.

How would you do it and not cheat?

Alan, you didn't cheat because there are no rules: you just used the easier way to do a particular stunt :blink

Those that think it is cheating either can't do it or can do it the harder way: the first ones are jealous and the last ones don't want to be on the same list as you if you see what i mean :happy
