mike60975
Hi guys, I would like to work on pinching 6 dimes. The plates that I have are a combined 5 1/4 inches thick. Is this a typical thickness for 6 10s? Do they come any thinner than this? Does anybody know the thickness of 6 York 10s? Thanks alot guys, MIke
Old Dax
I can't help you Mike, but you have posted the question (in a slightly different form) that I wanted to ask: What is the 'usual' thickness of a 10lb plate?
mike60975
Part of the problem with my plates is that they have a semi-gloss finish on them making them that much harder to lift. As far as thickness goes, if 5.25" per 6 10s is typical then there's nothing I can do about that, but I will still try to find a set of plates with a better finish - hammer tone, bare metal etc. It's not that I'm trying to find the easiest set of plates to lift... actually, yes I am trying to find the easiest set of plates to lift, my hands are 7.5 inches and I'm going to need the advantage . Rustoleum makes a textured paint..(Rustoleum Textured)..It has a bit of grit to it..... Not a bad option in my opinion. Bobby
