Bob Lipinski
Definitely not a "quality" product, but like Adam wrote you can rarely find narrow handle grippers so easy. Since they are all over the map, you get some extra progression. Another tool. Out of 2 batches I got one with the wrong selection (2 250's instead of a 250 and a 200) and one with an unglued handle. Bojast
Just picked up a set of 3 from the GNC store. Now, 3 grippers for $21 (after tax) I didnt expect the highest quality, but here are my thoughts. Very heavy, the weight of steel vs. aluminum is very noticeable. Knurling is light. The springs are mounted high on the handles compared to any of my Coc grippers (not a pro or a con, just different) The handles do not close together precisely on any of the 3, as one is about 1mm longer than the other. The spread is narrower that Coc, which I actually prefer as they are almost perfect for my hand size for a TNS. I did not notice (with naked eye or feel) any difference in handle diameter that has been mentioned. I also can't comment about their variation in weight to close between multiple grippers of the same advertised pressure to close, as I only got one set. I would imagien they vary quite a bit simply due to the lack of precision. Each of the 3 grippers has a nice difference in difficulty though. Overall, Im pleased with the purchase, and really, for $20 they would have had to have some sort of major flaws, which they dont. Certainly not perfect quality, but thats fine. They add three grippers to train with and I dont feel bad filing them at all (which is mainly why I bought them- always hesitant to take a file to a nice gripper) Edited December 15, 2011 by Bojast
daniel reinard
I just had my GNC 250 and 300 rated and a surprise was in store. The 250 rated 148.6# while the 300 rated 148#. I know the 300 felt close but more than the 250 when new, and I think after some seasoning it's now weaker. I don't use the 250 much so maybe it hasn't fully seasoned. I'm still happy with them, just a little disappointed I didn't get a big 300. I knew it wasn't a 169# and at first I thought it was 159# because when new it was definitely harder than my 153# CoC #3. On a side note I has another #3 rated which came out 152.5#. I really wish I had a 159# .
