gollan
I finally got started tearing cards. Even though my actual feat was modest my sense of accomplishment was immense. I followed the steps in Brookfield's "The Grip Master's Manual" to the letter and was able to tear a small stack of cards. He talks about "pulling the cards apart" but it took me quite a bit of straining and pulling to do it. The second tear seemed a bit easier. I am just getting started so I stopped at two tears. Immediately afterward my fingers were sore in a unique way but fully recovered within a day. Now I just have to figure out how often to train card tearing. I have already decided it will be on days I don't do other grip work.
Rick Walker
I also enjoy a good card tear now and again. I havent done it in a long while but a full deck is my eventual goal. It does work the hands in a unique way- Rick Walker
OldGuy
I have torn a full pack on several occaisions over the years. It seemed like a very good workout for the thumbs and is a lot different than phonebook tearing.
AnimalCage
I've torn two decks, and it's murder on the fingers. The definition of a whole new pain!
