Mike Rinderle
Did this one today to take 3rd place from Paul on David Horne's Mid Length Braced List. It was tough! 19 3/4" X 5/8" A36 HRS: Red Nail for scale: Edited July 13, 2011 by Mike Rinderle

Mike Rinderle
You should be pushing Carl into some crazy territory with this one. Congrats Mike, that bend is freaking unreal! Yea, I think Carl is good for a 3/4" bend at 29 1/2 right now, to really push the envelope. I doubt the top 5 mid bar benders will be using 5/8 stock a year from now. I think 3/4 X 29.75 is doable for me in less than a year. We'll see! Mike Rinderle
That bar is kuh-razy. They really look cool when bent because they're so thick and heavy. Especially when you start to get them really short. They make a nice satisfying thud when you drop them too. The 1/2" piece I did under 12" looks really cool! odin
Brutal strength display Mike! Thanks Bob! How is your braced bending coming along? Thanks for asking Mike. It's going well, I think. Give me a 1/8" diameter handicap and I might be a bit closer to your level-no rush though. It's hard on the shoulders and the whole body, seems like a systemic fatigue sets in for several days afterwards; I've only done it once a week for less than month so I hope I adapt a bit.
