billw3941 Posted May 24, 2011 Share Posted May 24, 2011 The dynamometer hand grip strength test will take place at about 7:15 pm in the college gymnasium at LA Valley College, Van Nuys CA. We will use a Smedley-type Takei dynamometer hand gripper, 3 consecutive attempts per person. We will offer certificates for 5-yr age group world record breakers, certified (with video evidence) by Dale Harder. We will be a small group, probably less than 10 competitors. Should be a lot of fun. Age group world records are shown on our facebook group site "feats of strength international". Videos will be shown on our youtube channel "ropeclimbusa". Updates on twitter: "FOSfanatic". Other events as part of the competition will be standing long jump at the college track's long jump pit, and 20-ft rope climb (hands only) and pullups for reps inside the gymnasium. Several 5-yr age group world record-holders for these two events (men and women) will be competing. These are also shown on facebook's "feats of strength international". The cost is just $10 for any or all events, paid at the door (no advance registration required). This is just a start. We will have more grip competitions in future meets. Hope to see you there.
