khfm865 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hi Guys, Does anyone use the IM IMTUGs for dynamic thum training? If so, what is the best way to use it - how do you hold it in the hand? Cheers Quote My YouTube Channel - follow my journey... http://www.youtube.com/user/khfm865?feature=mhee
RTvG Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hi, I use the 4 and 5 for this. Just hold them as feels comfortable and squeeze them tight with the thumb. I leave the spring pointing left or right or even forward, just what works at that moment. RT. Quote Bob van Genugten
khfm865 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Hi RT, Thanks for that - I have a 4 and 5 also, and am playing around trying to feel what works it best. Cheers Quote My YouTube Channel - follow my journey... http://www.youtube.com/user/khfm865?feature=mhee
Guest Benedikt Farsmann Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I use my "ivanko super gripper" for dynamic thumb work. You can also use MIstrass's (boardmember) adjustable imtug, he calls it "ring & pinky trainer". It looks like the vulcan hand gripper but it is smaller and has thick handles (to mimic an imtug). it has filed handles too. PM him - he doesn't sell them anywhere and builds them by request (I hope he still does). Quote
khfm865 Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Hi, I have a vise gripper which is like an ivanko with gripper style handles - never thought of using it for thumb. Cheers Quote My YouTube Channel - follow my journey... http://www.youtube.com/user/khfm865?feature=mhee
paulw Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I've been using the vice gripper for thumb work for a few months now and have gotten some good results from it too. Makes progression much easier. Quote
