amaury
The guy on the pic has pretty big forearms He must be training with the COCs
Griparn
I dont know if he is. But he is a heavy weight armwrestler from Poland, and I thinkyears of armwrestling have helped to build those huge forearms.

Guest wells
Hey WannaGrip maybe you should send Igor an E-mail inviting him to join the Gripboard. Check out his webiste above for contact info. The guy looks like a real animal. Tough looking forearms.
amaury
So you're still armwrestling Jonas! Do you compete ? Do you think training with the COCs has helped you ?
David Horne
Igor was the organiser of the armwrestling World champs that I was at in Poland in 2001. The gripper is not a new design, I have 4 similar ones from the 1950's. David
OldGuy
That type of gripper is nothing new they have been around over 50 years. They often come up on Ebay, which is where I got mine.
Tom of Iowa2
Old guy, Are they hard to close? How do they compare to the Ivanko gripper in the hard setting? They look pretty cool and would appear to work the hand a little differesntly from the IM grippers? What do they sell for$$?

Griparn
Amaury, yes I still train armwrestling but I haven't entered a tournament yet. But maybe I will on this saturday. I don't think my COC training have helped me that much in armwrestling.
KJM
Old Guy, Could you fit any more springs on that gripper?
OldGuy
Yes but the frame wont take the pressure. I have tried it. The design is sound but needs to be beefed up.
terminator
Yes but the frame wont take the pressure. I have tried it. The design is sound but needs to be beefed up. I think every piece of equipment Oldguy uses needs to be beefed up

Emsquared
Here is another type, I don't know if anyone has seen anything like this, it may not have much resistance because it is more of a rehab type gripper Rolyan® Ergonomic Hand Exerciser Matt
OldGuy
The gripper was made by Whitely who are no longer around. You can find them on Ebay from time to time which is where I got mine. I will watch out for one to come up and let you know.
Emsquared
Are any of thier products available anymore like the "Power Web", "Power Grip Hand Exerciser", or "Digiflex Hand & Finger Exercise System" Matt
EricMilfeld
Wells, thanks a lot for the femme link. Now there's a beautiful crimson hand print on my cheek, courtesy of the wife, thanks to you
Emsquared
No problem I am always good for stirring the pot up but I think that a product like the "Hand/Fingers/Forearms Exercise Products" would be good for a lot of us on the ring and pinky training IMO. Chuckie B.
OldGuy, I'd appreciate you keep-in me in mind for one of the grippers. Thanks, Chuckie B. --------------------------- "Live long, stay strong"
Guest sonik
Here's mine. Picked it up at a yard sale awhile ago. It's easier than the COC Trainer, although the inside handle spins around so it's liable to fly out of my hand if I repped it too fast http://www.sonik.us/pix/oldgripper.jpg
Guest wells
Tie a cord from end to end on the botom spring bar. Add some weight to the cord. Pick it up horizontally with spring side down facing the floor... try squeezing then. WoW! My cousin had one of these set-ups back in the late 1970s and I remember how difficult it was to even pick up, let alone squeeze shut.
