The Grip Maters Manual

I am glad I picked it up when I ordered my other stuff-a good continuation to Mastery.

Has anyone been able to burst cans? I got a little cocky today after my scheduled KTA and some bending and decided to give it a whirl.

I used a Miller Lite can. After about 5 minutes of squeezing-I decided it was not going to happen! :whacked:blink

When I finished, the can was riddled with creases-it looked like it should have went-but it was a no go.

Anyone have any luck doing this??

Rick,

Put the can in a stranglehold, and squeeze as hard as you can! Some people cheat on this feat of strength by pressing on the can using their chest and lat strength, but Kinney does it by hand strength alone. You might haffta rotate the can several times before it goes (explodes).

Does stranglehold mean you are interlocking your fingers? If not, do you press the fingers of one hand into the can trying to puncture it or do you just squeeze it?

Doesn't Brookfield still quote the 600lbs of force required to pop a can, if so then one would have to train to be able to apply 300lbs of force with each hand simutaneously. This might be the stumbling block all you grip meisters are hitting with the can stunt.
