Inch Dumbbell And 2.5" Crusher

We've seen the topic comaring the RT to lifting an Inch Dumbbell. I think the general consensus was that around 220 is required to lift the Inch. Upon receving the 2.5" crusher and realizing what a beast it is compared to RT, I have a suspicion that lifting 172 lbs on that would be very similar to lifting the Inch Dumbbell. I am nowhere near 172, so cannot test it out myself. Does anyone have experience with this and could confirm or disprove my theory?

Hey Chris,

Yes, I have read that thread on Rolling Thunder and Inch comparison. I am curious about 2.5" crusher and Inch.

172 is not enough ... ~190-200 is what is need on the crusher to get the inch depending on how seasoned your crusher is. That is pretty damn close

Have to agree with Paul - you'll need to be lifting 190+ on a 2.5" revolving handle in order to lift an Inch.

I have a 2.5" smooth handle Thunderball and whilst a 172lb lift is now on the horizon, my Inch is "not yet in sight" :blush

Keep training with a 2.5" handle - you'll make better progress than using a 2 3/8" handle if your goal is to lift an Inch.

That sounds like quite a feat then! To me, 2.5" crusher is much, much harder than RT.

you're right .. the crusher is harder ... you can lift 200 on the old RT handle all day and not be able to lift the inch ... now the new RT handle on the other hand is pretty close to the crusher (if the crusher is seasoned) ... and if it's a brand new RT handle ... I hear the new ones will begin to stick a little too, much like the old ones resulting in them to get easier over time.

My bad bro, I thought the RT and Crusher would be pretty similar and just skipped over your first sentence.  :whistel
