bencrush
http://store.sorinex.com/The_Ballistica_p/bal-1.htm This is one of the neatest training tools I've ever seen! I'm amazed at the price for all it does. It is a LWFD, HWFD, and a Hammer Trainer. For about $100. I've been pricing training equipment for HG since mid-July and this is by far the most amazing bang for the buck I've found. I don't believe I'll find anything even close to it in terms of craftsmanship and functionality.
h3X
I've actually been looking at throwing hammers lately and was thinking about making something like this with my loading pin and a ring handle... Any thoughts on ballistica versus home-made? (I do anything to avoid shipping heavy stuff all the way to Norway )
JonathanVogt
I would say the only issue would be securing the weight so that it does not float on the loading pin when it is in the air. I would say it is possible to break your weights if they are not secure. If you can figure out how to secure the weight then the only difference would be the height and center of gravity. I think it would still be good to practice with.
