I know that I personally use blocks for maxing out my pinch deadlift; however, I also do block toss, cleans, hammer curls, individual finger lifts, etc..

I ask the question because it seems, and I could be wrong, that people mostly blocks/blobs for deadlifting.

Thanks for the response.

I do static blockweight holds with one hand while doing rubber band extensions with the other and then alternate.

Works a treat and saves time!

Nope. It's feels like it's glued to the deck :(

I'm glad though, because it's giving me some motivation. Using duct tape to make my 25lb block 40lbs just didn't get me pumped. :D

You'll get to see me lift it..... eventually.

Next to tossing them back and forth (light ones overhand, heavy ones underhand), my favourite exercise has to be the one Gripper reccomended I try. The straight arm from the floor to overhead -like a slow snatch without the body dip-Excellent!!!

Only 12 people voted. I hope this doesn't mean only 12 are using block weights. If you haven't ever used them before, go buy a 40-45lb hex and cut out the handle. It will be one of the best grip tools you have. And you can't break the blocks if you drop 'em. :D:D

If you need more information about block weights there is a whole chapter on the topic in Brookfields MOHS.
