OTTOEMEZZO
Just curious about how Rolling Thunder numbers compare to deadlift numbers. I unfortunately do not have Rolling Thunder, but plan to get one in the future. Could everyone post their max numbers on the deadlift (also list the grip you use) and Rolling Thunder max lift. Other than providing data, and being of tremendous interest to Grip Guys, there is Zero Correlation. Not discouraging you, I am just telling you, Zero Correlation. I have seen old men who deadlift less than half of what young guys do in their 20s beat those same young guys in Rolling Thunder competitions. Hubgeezer. Best deadlift, double overhand, no straps, NONSUMO, 366. Best Rolling Thunder, 216 (old handle). Son of Hubgeezer. Best deadlift, same as above, 525. Best Rolling Thunder, 161(old handle). Friend of Son of Hubgeezer. Best Deadlift, Sumo, otherwise same as above, 740. Best Rolling Thunder, 151(also old-style handle). The best pound for pound Rolling Thunder guy in the world (until someone names someone better) is on this board, Odin. It would be interesting what his numbers are.
