Sybersnott
I accidently came across an old videotape that I had, and I decided to pop it into my VCR and watch it. It featured lots of WSM that I had taped years ago. What got my interest was a competitor by the name of Tommy Ingalsbe (from my home state!). In certain events like the Hanging Bar, the Flintstone Deadlift and the Farmers Walk, he dominated. Why? Because as Bill Kazmaier pointed out... he had grip strength and he worked his grip. The event where he RULED was the Farmers Walk - he blew away the competition, and won the event quite easily. Let that sink into your mind - WORK YOUR GRIP. Yes it does play a factor in some WSM events. So if you're thinking of competiting in some local strongman events, do your grip work! And, as always.... SYBERSNOTT HAS SPOKEN!!!!!
