kelby Posted March 21, 2010 Share Posted March 21, 2010 i have been using thick bar for awhile. it is 8 inces in circumfrence. i must say my hands feel stronger. i have been doing curls and upright rows with the bar. wil weight of course. i like the way my hands feel the next day. like i did alot of grip work. i believe it also has helped me with my grippers. at least maintaing my strength. Thickbar training is king!!! I just built myself an IM axle, a solid 2" diameter x 7 foot single piece CRS. I welded two small collars and its a thing of beauty. Weighs in at exactly 75 pounds unloaded It also cost a FRACTION of the price too!! Here is an old video of how to build your own thickbar if finances are limited.
