Using Pliers Or Channelocks To Break Plateaus

I haven't posted or visited here for a while so I'll try to make this useful. Plateaus are the worst part of our training. How to break them? Everyone has a different way of doing it, choking grippers seems to work well for people needing to practice the close. Here's what I did. To work the close which is always my problem I used a pair of channelock pliers with a half inch spread. Plier handles are way smaller than gripper handles, so the idea is to put the handles right into the very ends of your fingers, almost between the base of your fingers and the middle of your fingers. You are working a very short range of motion, but it is a killer. Your fingers WILL hurt after. I found that by squeezing the pliers for a couple of days my closing power improved significantly with my HG300. Enough that I went from 10 reps to 13 in one week, and 1 rep on the HG400 to 3. This was more effective for me than using a choker, and maybe some of you might also want to try this? This is really an advanced technique because most people can't pull plier handles shut to start with but I thought it might be good for people who are looking to move from maybe a 3.5 level to the 4.
