stevey7
Are these curls good for strength in the fingers to help close heaver grippers cheers guys
mightyjoe
I don't know about carry over strength to grippers but they will make your fingers stronger for sure. Great finger/wrist strengthening exercise for arm wrestlers.
Shaun Hainan
If you did 15kg plate for 8 reps, you are doing better than most. Is that like a 35 pound plate? Or close to it in diameter?
MitchSA
15 kg plate is a bit smaller in diameter to a oly 35lb plate therefore its a good deal easier.. Ive been doing these for over a year now and they are great for fingers and wrists, they've also been a great bending prep exe, its great to hear they are good for arm wrestlers because im looking at getting into AW in 2010.. I would say they do very very little for grippers, its a very different type of strength, in my experience guys who are strong hammer leverers are strong plate curls and visa versa.. I know of some guys who close insane grippers but can't do a strict curl with a 35lb.. so as usual with strength its each to his own..
