Roark
With one hand, grasp an olympic bar dead center, and keep moving your hand (by its own width), down the bar. Bar to be held in front deadlift position across front thighs. How far off dead center can you control the bar from its end touching the floor? One palm-width, two, three? Or to make it fairer, how many inches off center (since palm width varies)? The test is over when the end of the bar touches the floor. Don't worry if the ends of the bar are greasy- you won't be grasping there!
Jonathan McMillan
Roark, I tried the exercise today...not sure if I did it correctly. I jumped my hand along by quickly letting go and shuffling my hand one way. I tried it out in both directions with both hands. Only managed one hand length forwards and a hand length plus a finger or two backwards. I really found my triceps cramped up a fair amount after attempting this. Jon@han Ps. forward =towards the thumb side of the bar
