EricMilfeld Posted January 8, 2003 Share Posted January 8, 2003 To more closely mimic the thumb position on a hand gripper, I've found it helpful to place the one dollar spring clamp on a shelf or thin table. Put your four fingers on the bottom of the shelf as you squeeze with your thumbs the clamp resting on the shelf.
