i bought a blobette a while back, and my friend bought one recently. his seems to be slightly smaller than mine. i was just wondering if anyone knew why this was so.

well his blobette is still empty (he just gave it to me) whereas mine is loaded with shot so i dont really know if there is any weight difference. even so, his is only slightly smaller in overall size, so chances are if both were empty, his would be a little less in weight. but as both are loadable i guess it doesnt matter all that much. i was thinking maybe his is smaller because it matches the original blob better? (assuming my blobette was a little larger than the original blob). or maybe a smaller blobette was made just for the sake of having a slightly smaller one. i dunno, just grasping at straws here, was just curious :)

This is just a guess but I think the manufacturing process for Blobbettes makes it difficult to hold exact tolerances. Some variation occurs.

I'm sure that's the reason climber, just call and complain you couldn't be treated any worse that when people call to complain about other items. Maby they will send u a new one.

no need to complain, ive no problem with it being smaller, i was just curious whether there was any reason for it or not. if anything, ive now got a "new" training tool :mosher

should i stick to the blobette im using now (slightly bigger) or switch to the smaller one? i get a much better grip with the smaller one, fits in my hands nice, whereas the bigger one is obviously more difficult to lift and progress on. however, i dont want to switch to a smaller just to lift more weight, if the bigger one will help me get stronger hands overall. sorry to complicate things. any advice?
