The Natural
Put some weight on the bar you found. Pick up the bar, enough times that you have to strain. When you feel you have recovered, add more weight, or do more reps. If that gets old, pick up the bar and hold it till you are forced to drop it. You can use a double overhand grip or a reverse grip for additional variety. -Rex
CoC#3
I do most of my training on an axle (2'' bar). Bent over rows, curls, upright rows, shrugs and so on. Start slowly with thick bar exercises, don't suddenly drop all oly bar stuff. Presses on a 2'' bar or thicker are good fun aswell and strengthen the wrists. The double overhand deadlift with a 2'' bar is one of the best exercises for hitting the entire forearms and hands. Again, start light for reps and work up. kelby
i was also thinking of doing pull ups and chin ups with it. i have chains hanging from my ceiling. wonder if that will also help. does thick bar training carry over to grippers. I think so ... for the sweep anyways I've been wanting to do the same thing .. hang the bar and do chins or simply hang as long as I can once I can do anymore chins, or you could hang weight around your waste and then do timed hangs ... good idea
