Guest malis
I have the COC #1, and I was thinking to get a new one. What`s the deal with SOS grippers, how do their strenghts compare to the COC`s? I`m very close to closing the #1, so I was thinking to get the #2, what of the SOS`s would be alike? Or what about the Supergripper?
Patrik_F
Get the SupperGripper it is great. You can vary the resistance in pretty small increasements. Also great for negatives. The SOS grippers on sale now are good but they are expensive. The easiest of them is easier than a #2 then there is 2 grippers that are between a #2 and a #3 then there is one that is harder than a #3. At least, thats how my SOS grippers are. How about trying the Beefbuilder Grippers? They are not as expensive and a good alternative. Try this: www.wwfitness.com
Roark
For years the weight of the 172 pound Inch bell was unknown- Inch merely commenting 'It is heavy enough'. Grippers are like a rack full of various size dumbells which have no weight designations. Only after you have lifted all the bells in the row can you arrange them from lightest to heaviest- just as if you try to squeeze various grippers you can arrange them from easiest to hardest (at least those whose handles you can move some distance). In neither case do you know the amount of resistance, but this does not prevent a good workout. If one of the dumbells is marked '50 lbs' in my rack, but is much heavier than yours which bears the same marking, probably the variance will not be more than plus or minus 5 per cent. In grippers, from what I can gather by reading statements from those who have tried many various grippers which bear the same designation, the variance may be closer to 30 per cent. (back to bells: my 50 is your 35?) None of this constitutes a problem for a workout- you pick what you can use. The problem comes when you insist that your 35 is equal to my 50, and want the same blind category certificate of achievement.
