New Arm Wrestling Training Videos

To those interested I've compiled some AW training tips on 3 different

videos that I'll be releasing to anyone interested FREE of charge.

I'll post them on the board as soon as I'm done ( 2weeks?).

There's something for everyone on the videos, beginner to advanced.

The training ideas and tips are from my years of involvment in the sport

and from many great arm wrestlers I've met or trained with over the years.

If you're not an AW'er but have an interest maybe these videos will be your ticket

to a beginning in a wonderful and rewarding sport.

Stay tuned my friends! ;)

Have a GREAT 4th of July!!! :)

Sounds great Joe, I will watch them for sure. By the way, are you going to be going to Oklahoma States next week? I'm going to be there and hope to see you there.

I'm considering going but I don't know if I can handle all the cigarette

smoke in the casino. Jake told me it was so bad last year that he couldn't even

make it for the awards ceremony.

I can't stand the smell, it makes me sick feeling.

Thanks guys!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have making them.

I put a lot of thought into each training tip, idea, etc. before I

put it on video.

I tried to keep everyone at any level in mind also. If an idea came from

a fellow arm wrestler, grip guy, etc. I give credit where credit is due.

Stay Strong!!! :)

UPDATE:

I've ran into a slight problem, it's downloading times from the length of the videos.

What I've decided to do is to post numerous 3-5 minute clips of all that I've recorded.

I think everyone will like this better and it will be easier for me to download and post.

You'll still get all the info just in shorter sessions.

Is everyone cool with this???

I'll try my best to post video #1 tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys them. Feel free to comment

or make suggestions for future sessions. If you want to criticize in a negative way, don't waste your time,

I'll ignore it. If I can help one person obtain some of their goals in arm wrestling I've suceeded with

these taped training sessions/tips.

Stay Strong & Live to Arm Wrestle!!!

Your friend,

Mighty Joe

UPDATE:

Here's the deal my friends.

Problem: While I was in Dallas training with 12 other guys for the Europa 2009

AW tournament, my friend (Shawn) was editing my video clips for this series and some

how he goofed. The clips have bits and pieces missing. No Good!

Solution: I'm going to have to re-do the clips. This time I'll break each session into a 5 minute

clip, download it and post it that same day. I know what's in each video so it won't be a problem

there. The only problem is this is going to be time consuming for me. Don't worry, I don't mind.

I'm right in the middle of training my butt off for this tournament so I'll try and do a clip (or 2) each

weekend until Europa (August 15) is over. Then I can dedicate more time to the whole series.

I apologize for this but I'm doing the best I can with the situation.

I'm positive the wait will be worth it.

Stay Strong!!!

Is Jake going to be at Europa and if so what weight class?

Yes, Jake will be at Europa. He weighs 170 lbs.

Last Sunday the only pullers that could touch him was myself,

Kyle Norman, Robbie Burnett, and Chris Hood. He made short work

out of Ron Berdinski and Clint Vail. If Jake sucks you in the hook, he's

a MONSTER. I've been helping him with his hand strength (finger pressure)

and his set-up. The best thing that ever happen to Jake was to lose at the

Ronnie Coleman Classic in the pro division. Now he's training seriously.

Sometimes losing isn't a bad thing. It makes you better or retires you. It's your

choice.

Hope to see you there David. ;)

Amateur 176 I believe.

I think you can fair better with him now David.

I've watched some of your matches on ARM TV and you've

really improved in the last year.

The KEY to stopping Jake is to go outside his hand. Hit his

fingers hard or else. At the rate Jake is going he'll be TOPS

within 2 years. Count on it. ;)

What are you pulling David???

I'm going to pull 176 novice. It might be my last time pulling novice, but it will be a year or two before I can truly be a competitor in a true amateur class. Hopefully if I can start training with a real group of pullers when I go back to Austin then I will be able to improve a lot more. Jake is on another level than me, it will be a couple years until I am near him. At that point he will have improved as well so we will see. It all depends on if I can practice on a regular basis with a group of real armwrestlers. As of now it is whoever I can convince to pull with me for a couple of hours :dry
