JAU1985
For the last few weeks worth of gripper workouts (2x per week thanks to contrast baths) I've been using a hose clamped HG250 (clamped at 3/4" handle to handle) and have been using that to work my way towards finishing off the CoC #2. Tonight I was wondering if my HG250 was tougher than my CoC #2 when clamped to the same distance handle to handle. So I clamped the #2 at 3/4 of an inch and after 5 reps with each gripper, left and right handed, the HG250 was still tougher for me. I was able to close the #2 but not the HG250 (haven't fully closed it yet) so that leaves me with a question. I was wondering what you guys think would be the best bet for me to follow. Keep working the harder HG250 or keep the hose clamp on my #2 and work with that to get the close. Common sense tells me to use the #2 clamped until I can rep it set at 1" handle to handle and work on my sweeping strength with my HG300 but would there be any benefit to just sticking with the clamped HG250 until I can close that and just use my #2 for full range closes? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
