gripgal
You might be a grip fanatic if your forearms are bigger than your biceps. http://pub18.bravenet.com/photocenter/view...rnum=1524886064 125 lb card lift, inspired by Tom Black. You may not be able to see but I super glued a playing card on each side. It makes for a slick surface and a cool look. p.s. my girlfriend cut my head off http://pub18.bravenet.com/photocenter/view...rnum=1524886064 Here is Alayna (gripgal) shutting the #1. She weighs about 127 lbs here but competes in powerlifting at 123. http://pub18.bravenet.com/photocenter/view...rnum=1524886064 Here is Alayna lifting half a hex 45 dumbell. She was proud of this lift, due to her small hands. http://pub18.bravenet.com/photocenter/view...rnum=1524886064 Here is a picture of me and my grip tester. It is a pretty nice antique. http://pub18.bravenet.com/photocenter/view...rnum=1524886064

Tom Black
Glad to see some other people trying the card lift. It looks like I have some competition as far as the weight is concerned, but the picture on my page was taken almost two years ago. Make sure your thumb does not hook below the edge of the wood (it's over the edge, but probably not hooking), otherwise it's not really a pinch. Jonathan McMillan
Great photo's....damn impressive stuff! One of the girls I work with managed to close the trainer but couldn't even budge the #1!!! Is the #3 in the works? Seeing the Ivanko gripper shots makes me want to do some more Christmas shopping for myself. Jon@han
strongmitts
Amaury, my gripper tester does indeed work! It has a dial that goes up 300 but the measurements aren't in pounds or any unit for that matter. I have gotten around 220 or so on it. Mr. Black, thanks for the comment. I try to be sure the thumb is not around the edge of the block. Seeing your picture and weight on your site gave me something to shoot for in my training. Thanks for that, and keep up the great website. Jonathan, Alayna can close the #1 on a regular basis and is working on the BBM. I haven't shut the #3 yet, but have been around 1/16 " a few times. I plan to get it before the years out. Get an ivanko gripper, it is a very inexpensive piece and fun to work with.
Nathan Say
Is that card thing supposed to help with card tearing?
Tom Black
strongmitts, Thanks for the new motivation- I'll have to see if I can move up the weight a little higher on that block myself.
