The Gripster
Has anyone bought John Brookfield's new book? What about the dexterity balls? If anyone has any info would be much appreciated.
Sybersnott
I received the catalog in the mail yesterday, and I like the new book by Brookfield... think I'll be getting that one. That grip machine is too expensive, IMHO. Go to NYBB and get theirs for less than half what Ironmind wants for their grip machine.
The Gripster
I have the grip machine from NYBB and I use it all the time. I'm starting a new routine Monday and instead of grippers I'll use the grip machine. I train my grip and at end of week I'll check my progress on #2. I can now consistently close the #2 with my right hand. Depending on time of day I can get 5 to my max. of 7 reps with right hand. I owe this to my work on the grip machine. Sybersnott
Gripster, Go as heavy as you can on the NYBB grip machine... I said HEAVY!! I started getting more out of it when I put 150 pounds (or more) on the grip machine and then did one-handed holds and stuff like that. Good luck on your training! OldGuy
Snott do you also have a grip machine form Sorinex. The type you can stand on ?
The Gripster
Yes, that's exactly what I do. Like I said, because of that I can now consistently close #2. When warmed up I can easily rep it with right hand.
Sybersnott
Oldguy, Yes, I do have the Sorinex machine, the G-Rex - and it's the best grip machine I have IMHO. I can train pinch, gripper and two bar. The best part is I can put my BW on it, PLUS weight plates! I'm doing 400 pounds /- in training (two bar) on it now. The Gripster
Syber, Do you also have a Gripanator? If so, even though your favorite is the G-Rex, how would you rate the Gripanator? Thanks.
