Jonathan McMillan
A while back Bender posted an exercise with a skinny wrist roller to assist one with bending nails etc. How about doing the same for the sledgehammer lever type exercises as well? Just a thought Jon@han

Sybersnott
I have a steel bar about two feet long and on the end is a bunch of weight plates weighing 30 pounds. It really does test your grip!!

bender
I never found a good way to secure weight to the end of round-rod. Sybersnott, how'd you secure the weight to the pipe? I've tried with 3/8" HRS, and couldn't find anything lesser than industrial adhesivs to stick weight on the end. apdwler
One way to attach the weights would be to drill smaller holes in them. As close to the size of the bar as possible. I drilled some, for another reason, and even with cheap bits and drill it was easy. You could then use pipe clamps, the metal things that you tighten by screwing, to hold them in place. They would be a little of center, but I think it would work fine.
Jonathan McMillan
Apdwler, I checked your website out months ago from a link at OSSTB. You've got some great ideas on it! Have you shared some of them with the people here? Your homemade rolling thunder should for one meet with postive reception!!
