Is Bending Enough...

There are 5 ways to get better at bending, with out bending.

1). Playing with a Sledgehammer.

2). Playing with a Sledgehammer.

3). Playing with a Sledgehammer.

4). Any form of hand strength training.

5). Playing with a Sledgehammer.

Any movement that applies a great torque to your wrist is going to give you bending power. A lot of wrist excercises let you develop a great strength in the hand and wrist, but only heigh-weight "torquing" movements will toughen the tendons around the wrist in a way specific to bending.

Examine what style you use for bending, and replace the nail with a sledge hammer. Let the hammer mimic the force and movemet of bending the nail. Then, train with a max of 3-reps at a time for any set. Remember, you're training for strength, not endurance.

My brother recently wanted to start bending, and I suggested to him that he not even try it until he had 6-months of sledge play under his belt.

Amaury, unless you found some crazy ways to lift that stool, a sledge (or IronMinds lever bars) is a good idea.

Amaury,

To get good at bending, BEND!

I do no specific wrist work, and i'm doing ok, levering etc helps

don't get me wrong, but nothing prepares you for bending like

bending itself. This is just my opinion!
