Dave Ostlund remains one of my steel bending heroes, at a time when only a few people ever bent the red nail he was killing it in a style most couldn't manage now.

Anyway, here's one of my better bends using "Ostlund" style wrapping: 6x1/4 round CRS

Nice Matt! I love that vid too. Dave just wraps that red like a hotdog and destroys it! :rock

Congrats man! Looked like you had alot more in you.

Thanks guys, I just like to vary my bending a little :laugh

I do not have a lot more in me, though :blush. I've done 1/4" CRS at 5" that way, but even an easy G5 is well out of my range. Some of you stronger-wristed guys could probably do much better.

Congrats Matt. The last time I bent like that I was doing a 60d and stabbed myself in the hand. I'll try again with a g5.

Sheesh. I've bent a number of 60d's that way, and didn't really thinka bout the stabbing possibilities. Good luck on the G5! I tried and all all I did was hurt my wrists...

is David O the same guy that is doing some wsm competitions nowadays?

Indeed he is! If you search his name on Youtube, there are some videos. He really rocks the atlas stones :cool I think he's got to weigh 70 lbs more than in those videos now :laugh
