bicio
I've seen this demonstration live... some week ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wYrdmbwAYo (the video is not mine ) Edmir is a real strong athlete...but I think John was playing... In these pulls John goes where Edmir wants to go and then he "finds" how to came out that hook. Naturally is like a joke for John and it should be easier with a good start as well. (John was just hold at start) All I'm asking to all and especially to Bob Brown (if you're reading) How strong is Edmir's hook... do you have any news after this match?? Only some words about John as person.... REALLY A NICE MAN!! I've never met him before but it's hard to find a person like him, even helpful to all the present a REAL LEGEND at the table and out of it. I'm totally off training suggestion and techniques and we were at Supermatch that day... There was also M. Todd, Ion Oncescu, Nordmund Tomsons, Lindholm, Remez, Runstrom Engin Terzi, Lubomir Jagnesak, Neil Pickup. Great Challenges....!!! blueviper42
It didn't look like to me that he ever came out of the hook. It looked to me like he just held him for a long time and then took him over with sidepressure. Where do you see him coming out of the hook? bobbrown
I have spoke to John about this match. Johns told me that Edmir is very strong in the hook. You are correct that John let Edmir get into his most powerful spot and was just holding him. Once John tried to win, he found out how strong Edmir was. I am sure if John wanted to Toproll him it would be easy to do. Also if John Hit very hard off the "go", even in a hook, he would of won very quick. I remember in SLOW hooks, John had problems with his brother Bill. But if John "HIT" Bill in a hook, Bill would go right down.

blueviper42
No problem, I was wondering if I hadn't seen something right. Sometimes in a match you can miss a move even if you blink.

John..... you're such a great athlete that you have nothing to prove to anybody and your participation is the confirmation of that. Bye!
