Brutal Hex Goes Down!

Off center and well under 2" - great job! :rock

Just curious, since I know practically nothing about bending.

Is it a challenge to keep bending upward/downward until the bolt

breaks?

People do that occasionally with tough stock, not this tough though. They bend it completely then open it up and crush it down again until it just snaps.

Thanks alot guys :rock :rock. Time to rest up and see what happens. For you big benders out there how does the triangle edgin compare to this. Is it just a bit tougher throughout the whole bend? Thanks in advance.

Congrats! Definitely try the edgin. I thought the two had a similar kink, but I think the Edgin is harder to crush down...considering I have crushed down a hex (not in one session) and my best Edgin attempt is stuck at 4"

Thanks Matt. Just realized I stole your title from when you bent a hex :blush. I am thinking I will get stuck right around the same spot as you. I know if I can manage to get it under 3.5" or so it is a done deal though

I think the hex is a good bit easier throughout the bend than a 7 inch Triangle Edgin...I was able to bend the brutal hex months before fully completing the Triangle. My 7 inch kink strength sucked big time though cause of my lack of flexibility too.

What you dont know Chad is that I did not consume any coffee or hohos before the bend. That will put my bending strength through the roof when I go for the edgin :laugh. I dont think the kink will be a problem though. I think the hard part is gonna be around 90-100 degrees

That infamous combo has proved itself time and time again man. :cool

As long as you keep that Edgin hot and moving pretty good before you go for the interlocking crushdown phase you should have no problem with it.
