I was going to go ahead and pick up some Stainless Steel from a local Fastenal but am not real sure which I need to get. Could someone please take a look at this Fastenal product page and point out which steel I should pick up?

Fastenal Stainless

Thanks everyone

The 303 will be the same stuff a shiny is made of; 304 stainless is slightly weaker than the 303. Might wanna get a stick of both, as I've heard the Fastenal 303 can be a good bit tougher than FBBC 303. :cool

Great, thanks for the info guys. I guess I will pick up some of both. Unfortunately it will probably be a week or so before I can bend it. I need to let my hands heal up from the 3 bending sessions I had this week.

303 stainless from fastenal is much much much harder than a shiny from fbbc. The kink is a bit easier than an edgin at 7 inch's and the crush is a bit harder then an edgin at 1/2 inch shorter legnth.

Agree totally with these guys of course, but I definitely think you ought to pick up some of the Stainless-304 if for warmups at least. It's nice if you're focusing on a certain Shiny cert or goal to do all your bends in Stainless. You can of course bend 1/4", 1/4" Square, 9/32", and then whatever else Stainless you want to. But it's what I've recommended for a few guys I trained that nailed a Huge Shiny.
