Cold Steel ?

Quick question is cold steel easier to grip than warm or room temp? I was outside waiting for my wife to return from her dog walk and decided to have a quick blob session. The temp here early am is around 55 degrees. I was able to dl my 37.5# blob with very slick (basically bare metal) very easily with both hands. This is the best Ive been able to muster in a while, and I was wondering if it was the colder temp? Looks like early am blob sessions for me from now on

thanks

I dont know if it makes as much difference as the humidity or dew point. with colder temps you have to start worrying about the dew point because the steel gets slick from condensation on it.

If I have too much chalk on the blob a bit of sweat or condensation will make it a bit sticky and easier to grab. Otherwise the condensation makes it slippery.
