Guest Jeff Roark
Joe there is man at the Hardgainer RT that is claiming he has 6.5 inch wrists and 13.5 inch forearms. He said his measurements are done with a straight arm but a flexed wrist. I don't know if this is correct or not but he has to be close. He even says he doesn't work forearms. Roark
Jeff, If by 'flexed' he means his hand is at a right angle to his wrist, no bananas. If he is simply making a fist by squeezing an imaginary dripper, and his hand is straight in continuation of his forearm, WOW! Going from the first paragraph above to the method in the second paragraph will lose as much as one inch of size.
Guest Jeff Roark
Joe what is the proper way to measure the wrists? I wonder if I am doing it incorrectly. I measured mine with the hand open completely straight with the arm. They measure 8 inches as such, but when clinched fist they a 7.5 which is correct? My forearm is only 13.5 with fist clinched and held straight...
Drassk
Does anyone know -why- some people have a much larger difference between 'fist clenched' and 'goosenecked' forearm measurements than others? For me the difference is ~0.25" which is pretty miniscule. I've gotta hit up some forearm curls to get that magic ratio...6.5" wrists, too, but 12.75" forearms... Drassk
Crap...just read Roark's dealie on how to measure...I just lost .5"...arm straight makes a pretty big difference (I always measured sitting down in a chair so never noticed my arm was bent). People think my forearms are pretty well developed (1.88:1)so I guess any guy with a 2:1 in the prescribed manner must be a freak!
