Tunafish
I got a PR today putting a kink in a G8 bolt (i used two pairs of fatbastard wraps which seemed to mae kinkning easier). How long did it take some of crush down a G8 bolt once you could kink it. The double wraps allowed to bend some 8.3mm (bit more than 5/16?) 7inch and 6 inch stuff. Want to get some big bends soon. Got loads of this HRS , so I can a good deal of endurance work to build a base. cheers Chris

I put my first wobble in one last year, it must've been months before I attempted one again. When I did attempt it again, I got it but it was HARD. Question, where did you get the HRS? Get yourself some CRS soon and see what you can do with it!!!
Tunafish
I just popped into a welding shop and asked to buy some scrap. CRS steel seems harder to come buy here. Do the double wraps make much difference. I know I have asked before ( aren't they agaisnt the rules for certs etc).

If you want to use double pads, use double pads. I will say, working up to a RED or bastard in IM wraps is probably the best for beginners. I didn't do it that way, though I wish I had. You can get CRS at Home Depot or most hardware stores. The steel that you buy at Home Depot is labeled as "Hot Rolled" but do not be fooled, it is Cold Rolled steel through and through. CaptainCrush
Here is my first time trying a 1/4 x 6 Grade 8 bolt. Once I kinked it, the thing went down pretty easily.
matthcarl
Congrats on at least moving the G8. It took me another four months, but my crush has always lagged behind and that's probably a bit long.
