A Suggestion For Meet Promoters

If you guys like, when the events and rules are finalized for your contest you are welcome to PM me and I'll pin the details in the contest forum. I've noticed a lot of the pertinent details seem to get lost somewhere in the contest threads. Having a quick reference for the date, time, location, rules, etc. would make things a lot easier for potential competitors.

Sounds great Eric!!! I assume the contest threads would last a few days after the contest has finished? I'll get a PM sent out asap.

Eric - that's a great idea - I'll try to cut and paste everything together and get it to you. I was just talking to Chad and saying we need a calendar for contests here on the GB. Making it include the contest information etc all in one place would be very valuable to all. Thanks!

Good deal Eric! It would make references easier for my website.

In case anyone doesn't already know, I keep a schedule of events on my US Handstrength site. I'm not up to the minute with new events, but within a month or so I will have a link for any announced contest. See my sig. I've have a decent schedule up and running for the last two years or so.

Zach, the usual sort of contest threads would still run their natural course in the regular contest forum. I'm just suggesting that we pin the nuts and bolts info up top in the forum, say up until the day of the contest. There would be no need to post in response to the pinned topic info.

Also, Jedd, Chris and I update the US Handstrength blog. Everything related to US grip goes there. It's not updated all too often, but when something happens it'll go up there asap.

Ah, I misunderstood. That makes more sense then! If I could throw my hat in the ring, keep it up for at least the morning the day of the comp. I've run into situations where I forget the address and the quickest way to find it again is go digging through the boards :)
