It gives you an infinitely thickness-adjustable crush pad, and like you said, doesn't move all around which might make you punch yourself in the face !! You really notice the 1/2'' step down when you get that short with the drill rod 'cause of the big bend radius . I'm sure you could do this medley in your sleep!! :rock I just wanted switch from super-hard max effort bends for a night, and just do something fun!! BTW--Your Psycho's are calling my name!! You know, I was thinking, it seems that the more I mess with this 0-1 drillrod, the more it reminds me of stainless. It moves pretty smooth up till around 90, then it loads up and gets all springy. It also has this weird bend radius like stainless that makes the crushdown that much harder. The drillrod has a strange bend characteristic - the radius is larger than even HRS. I think that could be partially attributed to the fact that I have my pads way out on the ends of the bar.
