sifugus Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 HI THERE MY NAME IS GUS IM 42 AND I HAVE BEEN IN THE MARTIAL ARTS SINCE 76 IM HERE TO GET INFO ON DEVELOPING MY GRIP AGAIN ALL THESE NEW STUFF LIKE HEAVY DUTY HAND GRIPS, WELL DO TO HEART CONDITIONS AND GOING THRU 4 STROKES I AM SLOWLY GETTING MY STRENGTH BACK I PURCHASED THE IVANKO AND ORDERED EXTRA SPRINGS FOR IT TO GET STRONGER I ALSO HAVE IM #2,#3, AND THE ITUGS #3,#5,#7 TO HELP ME CLOSE THEM WELL I GOT TO CLOSE THE #2 BUT HAVING TROUBLE CLOSEING #3 THE ITUG #7 IS TO HELP ME CLOSE #3 BUT I STILL CANT ANY1 HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN I DO Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Magnus Posted August 4, 2008 Share Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) How far are you on the #3? Heavy negatives, over-crushes, and parallel reps work the best for me. You can also try choked closes, inverted closes, etc. And don't just limit yourself to grippers. The Rolling Thunder, plate pinching, etc, are also great grip workouts, and will help you close the #3. Imho, the RT is the best grip exercise.
