Finally

Fellas,

It finally happened.  I can close my #2 Ironmind gripper.  This seemed to take forever, since I could do reps with the #1 out of the box.  I don't know if it is a hard or weak #2; however it is signifigantly more difficult than my BB Master.  Because of this, I was able to use the Master as a "stepping stone" to my #2.

Thanks for all the good info.

Hammerhead,

Good job on the #2!!  I would suggest timed holds and negatives with your BBM and your #2 for your training with the #3.  And if you don't already have a #3, get one now!  This will help with your training tremendously.  Good Luck!  :)

thanks guys,

Yea, I got a #3 about 2 months ago.  I've been forcing it closed on my thigh and fighting it.  Doing the -'s with it has helped and toughened up the hands.  What also helped was increased frequency and reducing overall gripper volume.  Like Snott always harps about "forget reps, and work on heavy singles/negatives."

Grats! I hope to close my #2 soon enough. I am going to try to exchange my Advanced for a Master and hope it is of the same level as yours.  I would love to close the #2 @ 155lbs.

Great accomplishment, best of luck with future grip endeavors!
