Magnus
I think he means Cannon, and probably means a 0.281 #3.

CoC#3
why use an easy #3 anyway? i have never understood wanting easy grippers. work up to closing a 'hard one' then you will close any handed to you at an event etc..
Tim71
why use an easy #3 anyway? i have never understood wanting easy grippers. work up to closing a 'hard one' then you will close any handed to you at an event etc.. Where did he request that it be easy? Looks to me like he just wants an older "collectable" gripper. I do see a use for easier grippers and that is simply progression which is how some like to train. Just me though. Tim

bencrush
why use an easy #3 anyway? i have never understood wanting easy grippers. work up to closing a 'hard one' then you will close any handed to you at an event etc.. I used an easy #3 to get to a hard #3. Then an easy Elite to get to a hard Elite. Progressions. If everyone here was really interested in only training with or certifying on the hardest #3 possible then that list MIGHT be 6 guys on the planet to CCS Jason Payne's #3. So it's all relative. verdigriz
Ive been looking for older #3s for a while and have requested it in the wanted section with no replies forthcoming not for an easy gripper but out of curiosity sakes.

I undertand that, and i like to have grippers at all levels so i progress nicely hence why i have so many. What i don't understand is people who shop around for easy ones for the sole purpose of closing them on video here and getting a pat on the back. cemery
The more I use grippers and the more I understand about them, the less I pay attn. to what number the gripper is. All that matters anymore is calibration of a gripper. He probably just wants a gripper calibrated about 140 - 148 or so. Just a guess.
