who's the guy john lost to? are they in the same weight class?

That's Denis Cyplenkov's Crazy Uncle Richard. :D

The reason they are in the same weight class is because arm wrestling has retarded weight classes where they dice up the smaller classes and throw 200-pound guys in with 400+ pound guys.

I think John was light there if he in the 230's it would'nt matter.

Richard Lupkes, I don't know how much he weighs but more than John does for sure.

Why doesn't John get to the 230's where he obviously dominates and just stay there? Why move back down?

Because not everyone enjoys being big. If John had his wish, he would weigh about 185 and I would weigh about 165

i read on some webpage where john answer's alot of questions saying taht at 240 he feels stronger but unhealthy and at 200 or less he feels healthy. i would rather stay at 160 and be the best out of everyone but it aint gonna happen
