apdwler
Does anyone know how the handles are usually anchored to the spring. I got a Lemley gripper, hoping to use Mr Black's method to modify it. However both handles are loose and can be removed from the spring. They also rotate when partially closing it. I'm afraid to even try a full squeeze.
underdawg
aren't those the same ones people had fly apart on them a while back?
blueshadow
Yes they are, use extreme caution with these apdwler!!
apdwler
Ya, unless I find a way to fix it, I doubt I will ever trust it. Even then, I don't know... At least I can use it for practicing the modification.
RiotGrip
If it is any conselation, I have 2 lemley's grippers, only one of which I'm able to close. The one I can close has been closed over 100 times (estimation) no problems to date. But if quality control is as poor as others have mentioned, I may have just gotten luckey. Good luck with your new gripper
terminator
On mine I re-attached both handles with Red Loc-tite and haven't had any problems as of yet. I beleive Heath has had a similar experience. It's got literally thousands of closes on it since with no problems.....now I'm waiting for the spring to explode. Guest Harlan Jacobs
I also have a Lemley's gripper and have had my handels come off. I used epoxy to put mine back together and have had no trouble with it after.
bseedot
I haven't had any problems with mine but, I do admit, that when I squeeze it I turn my head the other way. BC.
