lifesnotfair
Long time ago while browsing the web for wrist curl numbers, I came across this pic: http://www.armwrestling.com/img/jpg/sp3%20copy.JPG Looks to be 360lbs in plates through a 2" pipe. I have no idea of what form was used, or how many reps were done, or if that was his absolute max. The thing is, just a couple of days/weeks ago in an armwrestling board, a thread about big forearms was started, and Mr. Phipps (who's now like 50 years old? and has won World Title(s?) as well) was kind enough to provide a pic of his forearm. I guess whatever wrist curls he did, worked. The only other person I've seen doing wrist curls with this setup is sixgun from this board. http://img175.imageshack.us/my.php?image=f...1edited1bi0.jpg
jad
That's a sick pic! I remember seeing it on the AW board. I thoughtr Mat'le(sp?) was pretty amazing too. He's like 163 and has a 15 7/8" forearm. It looks like someone surgically implanted a softball down by his elbow.
lifesnotfair
jad: Yes, I was even more impressed with Matl'e's forearm pic. Don't quote me on this, but I think he has some birth problem, like smaller legs? I believe I recall reading something like that in the AW board. So maybe if his legs were to be of a regular size, he'd weight more. But still, those forearms are sick even for a massive fellah, and fact is he's 163lbs... must be indimidating for guys in his weight class, heh. jad
I think he has like 8.25 or 8.5" hands too.
climber511
Josh - you have any pictures of this arm?
CoC#3
that's a big arm! 2'' bar wrist curls are a good exercise for the foreams, imo they feel more comfortable on the wrists/hands than the 1'' bar variety so my forearms fail first. lifesnotfair
Climber: I know you asked jad, but I just happen to know which pic he's talking about. The guy's name is Matl'e McDaniel and says he swings a 10lb sledge all day at work, has been armwrestling for many years too. http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?image=008qd6.jpg

hab34buy
assistant manager 10lb sledge swinger? Perhaps it was good timing, but that one made me lol If that gave me forearms like that, I might take the job though...

I was a surveyer for 3 1/2 year's your drive stake's all day to give contractor's something to build off of street's, sewer line, water line, etc. I swung 10 or 12lb hammer all day most day's but it is more of a wrist builder than anything.
