Do any of you who know Pavel think GtG is good with grippers and if you can do it? How should I go about it....my best right now is a IM 2 close...should I do singles on my IM 1 every morning and evening and then work grippers a few days a week? (2-3 days a week.)

Anyone who has tried this have any advice...?

Thanks in advanced,

Steven

Steve I have tried about every thing you can think of and I am am at about 2.5 on grip so I am not to far from you . About the best workout that has worked for me is low rep's and hold's for time three day's a week. Now you want to change every once and a while just to keep you body guessing. I have also takin my #2 and set in front of the tv and did a rep every minute to 2 minute's for and hour or until I can't do it any more I do this once a week. Try it see if it work's for you I am sure you will get plenty of tip's from people closing much bigger gripper's than me but that is my 2 cent's.

GTG with grippers works pretty well for a short period. What you may want to try is do 3 weeks of a more traditional grip workout and use the last week as a GTG "rest week". One problem is that the hands (at least mine) take several sets to warm-up. Just grabbing a #1 or #2 and cranking reps is difficult. My best rep totals are after about the third set, so doing 7-6 sets of singles/doubles througout the day is a little difficult. Maybe take a trainer and do 10 reps and then do a working set of GTG each time?

I know GTG works for pistols, but thats more of a compound movement, gripping is highly isolated...
