Guest 115-1005574997 Posted September 17, 2002 Posted September 17, 2002 As a result of an email Heath sent me the other day i thought i should share with you guys an interesting 'game' Dave and the good old boys are playing at the moment. THE HOLD Its a sort of replica of the van hold seen in WSM and BSM contests load 2 bars which have a central eye (bars used in the hand and thigh/hip lifts) and set a chain and 1" handle to the correct height. then pick up as if you were to do a farmers walk and just hold it dead simple as you can use a fair bit of weight (a 100k guy should be starting with 2x286lbs - or 130k) and hold onto it for 20+ seconds. once you get to 45 secs add another 45lbs and continue a good weight would be 2x400lbs for over 30secs as im still sore after doing just 1 lift on sunday and EVERYTHING ached for days, its a lift i think has true potential have a go if your hard enough Quote
